Awning In Place With This Quality De-Flapper!

"We use these on our Sunsetter awning, as it is left up in all but the most intense storms. They prevent the canvas from flapping ( hence the name) and causing damage to it or the supporting structure. The straps are much easier to use than the elastic bands, last longer, and have never let loose unintentionally." - John

Why buy our Strong Grip RV Awning De-Flapper?

Durable: Uncontrollable winds and rain may damage an awning when not placed firmly. With the Strong Grip RV Awning De-Flapper, this helps the awning stay in place despite the strong winds and unpredictable bad weather. This tool provides a secure grip, stability and protection from rips, tears, wind noise, and flapping.

Non-damaging:  With the claims of Strong Grip RV Awning De-Flapper, of course it provides protection for the fabric with its soft pads. Not only does this help the awnings stay in place with a strong grip, it also does not leave marks or rip the fabric.

Universal fit:  The Strong Grip RV Awning De-Flapper fits most RV awnings; It also holds firmly with hook and loop fastener straps. The measurement of this item is 8" wide and a working strap length of 4" to 6".

Convenient: The Strong Grip RV Awning De-Flapper does not have to be installed to the awning, just simply clip the clamps on the fabric and hook on the RV pole without any special tools. It can also be used with a screen room in place. This is compact in size making it portable and a space saver.

📋Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do they have to be removed when rolling awning in?

A: Yes they do

Q: Do they work on slideout awnings?

A: Depends on the type of slideout awnings. You have to have something for the de-flapper to grab onto in addition to the awning itself.

Great product! Should be a standard part of any RV awning! Works best with at least de-flappers o...

We have an old and worn (and repeatedly patched) awning on our camper. I always would get nervous when the wind would start the awning flapping. These "de-flappers" work great. Because I'm so worried about our old awning ripping at the camper-edge mounting point, I bought two more kits for a total of six de-flappers (i.e. three go on each side). Now the only time I worry is when the wind picks up so strong that it's the overall "sail" of an awning that is the problem. The flapping on the edges is now a thing of the past. One usage note: I don't crank these down as tight as I could when I put them on the fabric. I discovered that if they have a little play, they will work themselves off in severe situations. Sort of a built-in blow-off valve. When it gets that bad, it's time to drop the awning, in my opinion. If you have a healthy awning fabric and really want the de-flapper to stay on, crank away! They'll hold (though your awning may not.).

They work in all but the strongest winds

I'm at a long term site with my coach so my awning is out and anchored. But it was flapping constantly even in a light breeze. These de-flappers were the solution for me. They work in 15-25 mph winds and don't come loose. Any higher winds and they might pull loose. My only complaint is the connectors to the awning brace are way too short, so minus one star. I have an electric awning that folds out. So instead of the supplied hook-and-loop straps, I attached them with bungee cords and they work perfectly.

Best ones I have found!

These are by far the best ones I have found. They stay on even in a fairly heavy wind. Anything heavier, I would retract the awning anyway. The straps were long enough for me. These are vastly superior to the all plastic 'T' shaped ones I had before. Highly recommed to anyone!

Wow!

We've been in the high desert for a couple months now and the wind gets gusty. It's hot and we want our awning down for shade. Most days we end up putting the awning up in the afternoon (at the hottest part of the day) and suffering. These things have totally changed that!! Amazing what a huge difference they've made!
