Easy to assemble, even came with bolts to attach it to the engine. I ran into a sudden influx of engines that I needed to store, all my engine stands were full and didn't want to spend the $$$ for yet another rotating engine stand so looked into these storage ones. This was the most affordable one that has wheels, no idea why anyone would want one without them. Bolted it onto the 350 that won't be rebuilt for awhile and wheeled it into storage.
Assembly is straightforward. Tools needed. 3/4" wrench, 1/2" wrench, or sockets. Lift the engine on a hoist, bolt the cradle to the engine, lower it to a concrete floor and you are good to go. I have a couple of these with an engine on each. I can easily roll the engines around the garage for storage or for working on them.
Best price I was able to find.
They look and feel more sturdy because of the way the cross piece inserts into the side pieces. If a bolt broke maybe the pieces would hold together because of the insertion fit.
I’ll admit I was skeptical about this stand but to my surprise, it held the dressed Mercruiser 5.7 (Chevy 350) I also ran the motor on this stand. For the price, you can’t beat it. The stand is very sturdy and pretty easy to push around.
Works just as advertised and was shipped/received promptly. I like how it made my life easier.
