REMINDERS❗

  • Before using the tool, it must be calibrated for your motorcycle. To do it, check your motorcycle’s owner manual and adjust the chain slack according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure the chain is adjusted correctly. You only use a tape measure 1 time to calibrate the tool once, and then you can forget all about it! Even when you change a tire, or stretch the chain, the tool will still be set and ready to be used!
  • The tool must be removed from the chain after it has been used to adjust it. You don’t ride with the tool on the chain. Just store the tool in your bike box and use it when your chain needs re-adjustment.
  • Incorrect chain tension can damage various components of your motorcycle and result in accidents. If the chain is too tight, it causes wear on the sprockets while preventing the rear suspension from working properly. If the chain is too loose, it rattles and could jump off anytime. In both cases, dangerous accidents could be caused.
  • Not too loose nor too tight. If you want your chain to last, the slack has to be just right.
