Q: Can this be buried into the ground for my garden?

A: Only if there is drainage underneath it because if it rains heavy or snowmelt soaks the ground the water can get up underneath the cover and into the box. The cover is not waterproof from underneath it is only meant to seal it from water falling on top of it. If you bury it then you should dig the hole at least twice as deep, fill half of it with coarse gravel for drainage then put the box on top of the gravel.
