We needed a solution for mom to go in and out without falling. Multiple different grab bars attempted but the angle and height was an issue. It folds out of the way when needed, otherwise works great as a support by the door. We ordered two thinking we’d use two by the door. Actually ended up using it by the toilet window, noticed mom kept using the window for support vs the rails we had near the toilet. Put it there and it’s doing its job well.
Best investment. I bought this for my mom who is 84 when she would come in the house it’s a step up she would grab the door where the hinges on the door was and pull herself up. I installed this between the storm door and the wood door . Works perfectly and she can get in the much easier
If you can’t or don’t want to install a whole long grab bar, this is a great alternative! My husband’s a recent amputee but didn’t want grab bars installed all over the bathroom. This little handle is perfect! He can hang a towel on it while showering, use it to steady himself as he transfers from the shower chair, and then flip it up out of the way when finished. It came with really long screws to anchor into a stud in the wall. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
