A: The ceiling should be constructed of wooden beams or concrete. If wooden beams, the appropriate beam spacing is 12/16/24 inches. The length of the axle is 71”, please make sure the beam is of sufficient length.
Q: Is it suitable for a ceiling height exceeding 9 feet?
A: We sincerely recommend ceilings not exceeding 9 feet. The maximum length of the pole used for raising or lowering the deck is 4 feet, so if the ceiling is higher than 9 feet, you may need to stand on a ladder to reach the pole.

This is a great product. Really a thoughtful design. 5 stars and I may get another one for the other side of the garage.
The build quality is good, the metal seems good quality.
I bought this for a couple of reasons....one to store a few things off the ground in my garage, and two to help me lift my rooftop tent onto the rails on my truck bed. I know that is not what it is meant for.....but the weight, dimensions, etc of my rooftop tent will allow me to do this.
First off, the packaging was great, hard to imagine anything being broken during transport. Instructions were detailed and clear. Took me about two hours from start to finish, and I spent a solid 45 minutes getting the template right. After that, the rest was just putting holes in the ceiling, driving screws, bolting it up, and then done. Overall, I’m super happy with the quality for the price.
The product does what it says on the tin. I plan on buying a second one.
